    Hi

Does anyone here attempt to authentically re-create WW2 air combat missions in Ms Flight simulator X, using some of the commercially available add-ons available?

I guess it is easier to buy on of the IL2 series of games and have them do it for you, though they do tend to be more "ground attack" or protect the bombers / this volume of air "
Their new Battle of Brittain one is looking pretty damn good though :D

I have the original MS Combat Flight Simulator WWII European series and the follow up Simulator 2 for the Pacific.

I tended to use Jane's WW2 Fighters as the museum section and information is excellent.

Have to admit it is a while since I last played.

I purchased the MS Combat Flight Simulator WWII European series a number of years ago and really enjoyed the missions on the Microsoft game zone. 'Really enjoyed' is, in fact, a massive understatement. It became more like a crack cocaine addiction. What seemed like 20 minutes flight time would actually be 4 hours.
As a result, I uninstalled it and have never played since. It just wasn't conducive to keeping a wife, family, career and anything approaching a normal sleep pattern. But damn, it is as much fun as you can have with your clothes on!

Yes I agree, they can get addictive and you have to be mindful of the time as, yes, it can run away with you.:(

I always find this a problem when on the computer, someone speeds up the clock.:D
