If you are anything like me you tape an awful lot of TV in the evening and then watch some of it when you have more time to spare.
Just got around this morning to watching "Churchill's secret affair" first shown on Sunday the 4th on Channel 4 at 9pm.

It showed a side of Churchill that I had never known about and certainly while he was married to Clementine.

If you are at all interested in the man it's worth watching on Catch-up"

I watched that the other night Ron. I must admit I found it a fascinating documentary about Churchill.
I was quite surprised I hadn't heard about it before, as anything about him usually ends up on the forum at some time. (checked the forum's search engine but nothing has turned up).

I watched it and I cannot say I was surprised as I have read the letters that Winston and Clementine exchanged at the time. They spent long periods of time apart on separate holidays. They had suffered the loss of their infant daughter plus several traumatic miscarriages so their marriage was under a lot of stress. However, they were very much together during the war and in their later years, so looks like a happy ending.
