A Merry Christmas & hope for better New Year to you Ron. With Seasons Greetings to all our Forum friends. Rob
Ron, Wishing you and all friends and members of this great forum a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year in 2017. Best Regards Tom
Ron, Thank you for your kind wishes. You add a unique perspective and a steady hand to the mob assembled here. Happy Hanukkah, Chanukah, Hannukah, Hannukkah, and Channukah. They really need to standardize the spelling for us mere gentiles! To Ron and all the forumites with whom I've interacted with over the past year, best wishes for a healthy, happy holiday season. Happy New Year and may 2017 be kind to us all. I look forward to another year of enlightenment, learning, laughter, surprises, the occasional tantrum and hours of enjoyment. Cheers, Tim
Hi again Ron. I posted a comment on WW2F in regard to your wishes. I'll also comment here. Greetings to you and your family. The same goes to all members of this forum. I'll drop in from time to time and I'll continue to treasure Ron's posts. Thanks for an alternative look at WW2.
All the best Ron wishing you a Happy Christmas and a Happy New Year. And to all on this brilliant forum all the best have a great Xmas and a Happy New Year. Best wishes Mike.
To all our esteemed board members, may Christmas and the New Year bring you a surfeit of joy and no tears. Ron, quite understand that this year's festivities may be a little muted but sincerely hope that 2017 offers solace and a few smiles. 2016 has been a profitable year in terms of research, one in which my interest and understanding of the war has grown immeasurably thanks chiefly to the help and encouragement I've received here. I'm unlikely to have much of chance to log in for the next week or so, but wanted to wish you all the very best before I wander off.
There are many famous ways that Christmas is celebrated in London, from the lights of Oxford Street to the Trafalgar Square tree. Some of these traditions have been going on since Victorian times, while others are relatively recent creations. Thanks for your post, Ron. Dark though the times may be, the brightest lights never go out. Happy Festival of Lights and a Very Merry New Year to you and your family.
All the best for the season Ron, though sad the memory will be for you. The family will gather round and live those memories with you. Have a lovely New Year. All being well, I will be over there in June and we can catch up again. Cheers
Happy Chrimbo, Ron. And, of course, the same to everyone else. I just found a cat and a massive lump of ham on the kitchen floor, so everything's going as-per-usual here. Sadly I don't think hanging said feline from the Christmas tree will go down well with one of the sprogs while he opens his pressies, so I'll just have to pretend I'm perfectly sanguine about the growling nightmare... Again.
Merry Christmas Ron and everyone here! Looking forward to 2017 and reading many more of your posts throughout the year.
Compliments of the Season and Best Wishes for the New Year to all.....seen many Christmases from a time when the country was in dire straits and the future grim.We pulled through....not the festive food of today and one of the best cheers we could get was a roaring fire. My grandson in Denmark has sent us Christmas greetings and to ensure that we all understand the global greeting, he has provided a good link.....just talking to my daughter in law in Adelaide by Skype...oh for the joys of modern communication....not available for those who served their country long long ago. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
