A Happy Christmas to everyone and Best Wishes for the New Year...not forgetting those who keep the show on the road.
I better get this in before it's too late - a Merry Christmas to all and all the best in the New Year ...
Its a great forum and a great place to be.............many thanks to all who keep it going and to all who contribute to making it into the success that it is!
Apols if this isn't strictly a 'correct' forum post, but after submitting another query this evening asking for help and getting yet another quality response from members of the forum, thought it ok to say Happy Christmas and thanks. Lots of people get physical presents at this time of year that mean a lot, but users of this forum get 'presents' of information that fill in the blanks and to help them understand what family members and others did for their country in years gone by......... I'd suggest that this means a lot more than a pair of socks or a selection of dodgy aftershave to many!! The work that I've been able to do with the help of people on this site for my parents in helping them understand what their parents went through in WW2 has been incredible. So if you're a moderator / administrator who gives your time to make this website work for the benefit of others, thank you and Happy Christmas. If you're a contributor who has answered just one question of those of us who need help to understand the past, many thanks and Merry Christmas to you also. Best wishes to you all, P.
I agree wibs. This site and members have helped me so much over the years. Merry Christmas to You All.
Hear-hear. This time last year I had a photograph of a photograph of my late grandfather on his first day in the army and the the name of his regiment; thanks to the information and documents members here have supplied - and all the threads I've read here - I now know what films he was likely watching and where, and have spoken with the relatives of his comrades and heard recordings of their recollections. Happy Christmas.
Merry Christmas and a Happy Peaceful New Year to all the forum members. You are a marvellous bunch of people David
Can only agree with Owen - -- and wibs - with a merry Christmas to all and for an even better 2016 cheers
I'd reiterate much of the above. Would like to thank WW2Talk's staff and members for being ever helpful. Merry Christmas to all, and Happy New Year!
8 posts in, and I seem to have forgotten to mention what a spectacularly decent chap that wibs is? I am an increasingly cynical old git, but still see plenty on here that gets through to my shrivelled black heart. Every time my attention wavers somewhat, some new nugget of info or remarkable flash of insight or information still surprises on a regular basis, and draws one back in. Keep sharing the knowledge and helping the lightly confused, chaps, and we'll do our best to keep the old place ticking over. Happy Christmas etc. ~A
I didnt think that cynical old gits with shrivelled black hearts were allowed anywhere near The Abbey of Thelema Thanks to everyone who has helped and educated me. I have many new friends who I have never seen face to face but by their deeds and words I have come to appreciate and know them. Merry Xmas and Happy New Year to all  TD
All the best to every one on this brilliant forum. Have a Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year. All the best Mike.
