Hi everyone! I wanna get an attention of everyone about Central museum of Russian Airforces: ÌÎÍÈÍÎ Ìóçåé Âîåííî-Âîçäóøíûõ Ñèë. This is the largest museum of imperial russia/soviet/russian aircraft in Russia. Museum have HUGE exposition with aircraft from year 1909 till modern russian aircrafts like heli Ka-52 etc. It was visited by 3 000 000 people after museum was born. Look here: Museum located about 38km from Moscow. Also here is video report (sorry russian) here: Âåñòè.Ru: íîâîñòè, âèäåî è ôîòî äíÿ PS: Damn! I learned about it a few minutes ago!!! ) It's amazing
Unfortunately, it is very difficult to get onto the location. It is located on an active air force base, and you almost need a letter from the Ministry of Defense to get access to the base/museum. It is great, but the hassle of getting to it makes it less than enjoyable -- don't show up at the Morino Base gate without your access letter, or you will not get in. Doc

Doc That's a far cry from the visit David Lynne and I took to Pensacola NAS to the museum on the base there. I don't think they even looked at any ID, just waved us through. Did I remember that right, David?
DeadB_tch---- Yes, it is possible. It just takes lots of advance planning and arrangements. A great museum, and well worth the visit. Doc.
