I like the Author, Samuel Mitcham. I have read his book "The German defeat in the East" and found it to be an excellent read. He deals with the deterioration of the German Fronts and finishes with the fall of Budapest. His description of the "Cannae" of Army Group Centre is good and he even profiles many of the Officers in command at the time.Indeed his end of chapter biographical notes are as interesting as the text! If the detail in this book is anything like the "German defeat in the East" then I'm confident it will be a good read.
