Hello to all, I am trying to get information about a pocket watch which I believe was issued to my grandfather. He served in the Royal Engineers or REME during WW2. The watch is a Carley & Clemence and is stamped with an arrowhead on the back. It is also stamped 'G.S. Mk.II' and 'A.21680', the number also appears on the face. Please see photos. I have made enquiries with the Imperial War Museum but they have told me that it's not possible to trace who the watch was issued to as the records don't exist any more. Thanks in anticipation, Wheeler.
