Can anyone identify the truck carrying that 8 wheeld Armoured Car (post #181)?
Looks like it's a Mack EXBX or White 920 with the "Bees Knees" type ramp.

I think you're right with the Mack Noel; based on the dual windows at the back of the cab.
The White looks to have a single large window.
(Unless different cabs, rag-top etc exist for TT variants. Only briefly looked in Vanderveen)

Watched Ministry of Information film 'D-Day to Paris' from DVD in yesterday's Telegraph, some interesting stuff in the video if you kept your eyes peeled. This one struck me...apols for quality of screen grab, but it was in a segment about the French 2nd Armoured Division ops, and appears to be a captured Sdkfz 251/7 engineer vehicle complete with Free French markings. It was part of a sequence showing 2nd Armd Div troops driving through a liberated village.

The film also had some nice stuff from the liberation of Paris, including captured H-35s (or maybe R-35s) and Somua S-35s being used by the Germans, including one Somua that looked to be driving around quite happily without its turret. Couldn't get suitable quality screen grabs sadly.

Intesting. Its a late model one with the built in lockers but in Panzer grey. Intesting modelling oppertunity.

I can't see too much colour discrimination in this photo taken from behind a window pane - see the books in the reflection. By that reasoning the cheering crewman ought to be black wearing black, while the lady ought to be what, panzer grey as well?

Whoa there! A bastard I may be, but "sarcistic" is another matter!

In WW2F Slipdigit I think at a time coined the word "zarcasm", go figure :p And he offered me the pic below:

But I think he meant well, otherwise he would have got a lot more than than stroke of the "runs" that I voodooed him with for his pains :icon-mrgreenbandit:

Nowe seriously, the colours in that pic are so distorted that the only way to try and restore the original colours is through careful use of colour filters. I don't have any image editing software, so I won't be able to do that, even if I knew how.

I love the captured T34's do ytou think they could get the german crosses any bigger.

You know well enough the Germans couldn't afford to paint crosses any bigger on account of the Reich economy being already stretched to the limit.

Having object to threats of negative rep from an unspecified origin, I feel obliged to revide this piece of intelligence. The correct source is as some might have guessed, none other than Adam von Poop.
