When I try to open the Service Records sub-forum link it just redirects to the forum page.

Can someone fix the link please.

Sorry, but it seems as if the problem is at your end :(

What part of the world do you live in and would you like to tell us, stage by stage, exactly what you are doing when you try to raise the Records thread ?

    I am in northwest UK

I have cleared my temp internet files and still no joy

I can access the - Searching for Someone & Military Genealogy forum and all threads within and the Photo Restoration sub-forum.

I can access the last post for the thread my grandad DFC which is within the service records sub-forum.

I can even access my own thread in the sub-forum but have to go through my profile to view threads I've started.

Have you tried clearing your internet history and cookies? This has fixed issues I have had like this in the past on other sites.

Best to PM one of the MODs. It sounds like a permissions issue, perhaps there's an inadvertent post count block on the forum?

    Aye Bobby,
Your profile's set up OK, and the link seems fine on IE, Firefox, Chrome & Safari.
So I'm pretty confident all is OK at this end.
Unless anyone else can't access here:
    WW2Talk - Service Records

    Which browser are you on?
Might be worth updating it if you haven't done so for a bit, or failing that it could be a security setting (something I'm loath to advise on as it ain't up to me to fiddle with people's pooters).
There is also perhaps the possibility of some malware having snuck into your machine, but I think I'd check updating the browser first.

    Good luck,
    ~Adam

Using IE 9 all up to date, Computer is malware free accessing the sub-forum is the only difficulty I'm having on the internet.

Have just installed google chrome and I can access it on that both logged in and not, will just use that view it. Its a bloody mystery.

It is indeed mate. Sorry you're having some grief.
I'll keep scratching my head, and I'd still be interested if anyone else has the same bother.

After the recent switch to a new server I couldn't do 'searches' of threads or posts last updated earlier than the switch. I thought best to leave matters for a while and see how it all settled. Search function now works perfectly - thanks!

    Best,

    Steve.
