Does anyone know where I can get a list of all Canloans that died on August 30th 1944 and which regiments they seved with? I am trying to find the name of three Canloans who died in my area but I don't know what Regiment they were with, they were killed when they passed under a bridge between the villages of Lisors and Touffreville, Eure, Normandy. I know that the 53rd Welsh Recce were in the area and possibly the Middlessex Regiment, other than that I don't know of any other regiments in the area. I have contacted the town hall and although they know of the story they have nothing in their archives.

    Can anyone help?

Found this site - CANLOAN - Officers with British Regiments - SWWEC and had a check through for the date but nothing there. Perhaps you can go through it and check out the Regiments you think may have been around ?

    Perhaps contact them?
