Canadian units in East Yorkshire

    Hi. Im new to this forum so forgive me if I'm getting it wrong! My uncle who was a child during ww2 has told me about how he remembers Canadian troops camped in woods on the outskirts of Beverley, East Yorkshire presumably in the weeks before d day. If anyone has any information on this it would be much appreciated.
