In 1944, the Canadian 25th Army had stationed a quartermaster unit in the Belgian village of
    Sint-Lievens-Houtem.

An USAAF B-17 (94th BG) made a belly landing in the region ( October 1944) : the crewmembers were rounded up by Major Donald BRUCE.

Is there any information / pictures and the location available of that unit ?
I'm very sorry, but it's the only information, that I have.
Many thanks and greetings to all,

    Hi Owen,
    thanks for the information,

I suppose nothing is known about the quartermasters unit in the village of Sint-Lievens-Houtem, situated nearby the city of Zottegem .
I allready searched for Major Donald Bruce... without any results.
I'll recontact the son of one of the crewmembers of that crashlanded B-17
    Greetings
and a have ahappy Easter ,

As often is in these cases there is always something in the story that is correct. In this case I suspect it was that the 25th Canadian army was the 25th Canadian Amoured Delivery Regiment (the Elgin Regiment). I have no regimental diaries to back this up but I think it would be reasonable as these guys supplied the tankers and would not have been too far behind. if someone does it could verified or discounted. They certianly would have a Quartermasters section in charge of all those tank ins and outs.
