Nice one - I didn't know they had a website.

This is an area I keep meaning to go back to; must get round to it sometime. Let us know how you get on!

I've never been to Canada. What did they actually do during the war? Did they use the mounties?

What didn't the Canadians do in the war ? They had their own beach on D-Day (Juno).

Canada supplied manpower and vehicles in huge quantities, as well as training aircrew.

Have a look at almost any of the CWGC cemeteries in France, Belgium or Holland from 1944/45 and you will see Canadian graves as well as those of bomber crews in large numbers.

Canada did more than it's fair share. Hollywood, though has made a conspicuous habit of ignoring them.

And yes, the RCMP were used (I believe in a Military Police role).

Don't forget Dieppe, the Canadians had massive casualtys there. Apparently Juno was the 2nd hardest beach after Omaha.

    I didn't forget Dieppe but I couldn't list everything.

Who says Omaha was the hardest ? - Hollywood and the US self-glorification industry - but they would wouldn't they ? They're still looking for reasons for their failure to get off the beach.

You know that you'll get Sapper started don't you ? (And quite rightly too !)
