Can you see what is wrong with this map of the British D Day Sector?

I am preparing a map showing the German defences on the British invasion sector and the Second Army fireplan. I fear I am going bonkers and missed either a target or an effect.

    The attachments are :-

    1. A list of German dispositions (from various sources) and fireplan targets. (from the Second Army Fireplan May 1944)

    2. A map, based on an Excel chart projected from grid references.

What have I missed or got wrong? (I should put, if anything, but that is a tad optimistic!)

Are the German defenders correctly located and identified? Which would anyone dispute?

Have I missed any of the fireplan targets?

From a very cursory look on the phone, the placement of the heavy bomber beach bombardment markers looks more like 'actual' rather than 'plan', but that's a bit nit-picky.

  3. For the fireplan it looks like you have not used ONEAST. Plenty of information there though, much of it (apparently) not in your fireplan.

What is ON East - point me at it and I will check. The fireplan is real. Its taken from the Second Army file copy with the pencil corrections made during the co-ordination meetings. .

Interesting, but I need to study them in more detail to identify any accuracy issues (if there are any).

I think ONEAST is Operation Neptune East, but I don't know what documents(?) Michel is alluding to.

    Thanks for sharing them!

    Simon.

The map has been generated from the eastings and northings of the dispositions and 2nd Army fireplan.
