Not sure if this is of any help D, but took these last year.

    Historical information from CWGC:

    Whyteleafe (St Luke) Churchyard

At the beginning of WWII, a special plot (the ‘Airman’s Corner) was set aside in the churchyard for the burial of airmen from Kenley Whyteleafe RAF Station at Croydon who were killed in air battles, or who died on other operational duties. The churchyard contains 38 WWII burials, most of them in the plot, but there are a few privately owned war graves elsewhere in the churchyard, together with five war burials from WWI. The war graves plot also contains six post-war service burials and the graves of two Polish airmen.

While this is the biggest and most important memorial in Canada, I am more impressed by the hundreds of smaller, local memorials in almost every village and town in the Dominion.

    LENHAM CEMETERY, KENT R.E.M.E. Memorial.

I was here yesterday getting one for englandphil and took a couple of the memorial. The plaque has 52 names on it, all killed by a V1, but only 46 are here. I have found the locations of the others using CWGC,WGPP and Geoffs excellent search machine. Derek.

    Hi Diane
First I like you number plate!!!!
I sent you some pictures of the War memorial in Morden cemetery via e mail as I still cant fathom out how to post them on this page, hope they are what you wanted, as a further piece of information just across from he War Memorial is the grave of one of the Brit Soldiers killed by the crowd during an IRA funeral in 1988, tragically they drove onto the road where the cortege was travelling
