Culgaith War Memorial, Cumbria, a 'Roll of Honour' for WW1 and one for WW2

Culgaith in the Eden valley of Cumbria has a war memorial at a crossroads in the village commemorating the war dead of the parish in the two World Wars (four in WW1 and three in WW2). Inside the parish church is a 'Roll of Honour' listing everyone from the district who served in WW1 and another 'Roll of Honour' listing those who served in WW2.

The Culgaith Wheel Cross War Memorial reads:

    TO OUR GLORIOUS/DEAD
    1914-1918
GREATER LOVE HATH NO MAN THAN THIS
THAT A MAN LAY DOWN HIS LIFE FOR HIS FRIENDS

Names of the front of the cross (WW1):
John Maurice Foster, 4th Gordon Highlanders
    Thomas Frederick Huddart, London Scottish
Clarence Stanley Taylor, 11th Border Regiment
    William Edgar Williamson, Royal Engineers
    R.I.P.

Names on the rear of the cross (WW2):
    James Westgarth Pears, Merchant Navy
    Herbert Wannop, West Yorkshire Regiment
    James Skelly, Scots Guards

    Glasson Dock, Lancashire

Captain Brian Bibby opened Glasson Memorial Hall during Easter 1922 in memory of the fallen of the village from the First War. The Architect was C.P. Pearson of Lancaster. The building work was done by Messrs. Thompson & Morris at a cost of £1,750 16s 8d.

The main Hall was 49ft in length and 23ft wide with committee and cloak rooms at the front and a staircase leading up to a billiard room. The building was constructed of rubble walling and roughcast, with a red tiled roof.

The Hall was used by the Girls Friendly Society in the 1930's. Other uses were Amateur Dramatics, Whist Drives & dances - during the war it was known for American troops to attended the dances while their boats were stationed in the dock. In 1939 the local children put on a performance of Robin Hood. In 1939 electric lighting was installed in the Hall.
(Taken from the Hall's Facebook page)

In 1998, as a result of lottery funding, it was renamed the Village Hall, and also now houses the village post office.

The inscription on the last photo reads
    "PRESENTED TO
    Mary Simpson
    ON THE OCCASION OF THE
    FOUNDATION STONE LAYING
    OF THE
    GLASSON WAR MEMORIAL HALL
    28 SEPT 1921
    "

As I lived in my native county, Staffordshire, before moving to Lancashire, I think I'm entitled to call it my local county still. This is at Creswell, just on the edge of Stafford.
