    Clitheroe War Memorial.
The memorial can be found in the castle park near the Museum, just in front of the castle
In 1920 the castle and surrounding park was bought by the people of Clitheroe by subscription and declared a memorial to the men who had lost their lives in the Great War. Later a cenotaph was built in the newly created Garden of Remembrance and unveiled in 1923.

    Barking Park War Memorial
    Barking East London.
I took this in November 2013, they were just cleaning it at the time for remembrance day when they hold a ceremony each year. The memorial was renovated in 2000 . It commemorates local people who lost their lives in the 1914-18 and 1939-45 world wars.

    Tower Hamlets Cemetery War Memorial
Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park, Bow, London E3
War memorial commemorating East Enders who lost their lives in the first and second world wars. 16 bronze plaques bearing war victims names, 279 commonwealth service personel plus 4 Dutch merchant seamen. Unfortunately it has been the target of vandals on more than one occasion as they have tried to remove the plaques.

    Abney Park War Memorial
Abney Park Cemetery, Stoke Newington, London N16
Commemorating commonwealth servicemen who lost their lives in the First and Second World Wars. The 258 first world war servicemen are buried in the cemetery but have no headstone, and are listed on the panels. The 113 second world war servicemen are buried in the cemetery without separate commemoration and are also on the panels. I have close ups of the individual panels if anyone needs them.
