The Women of World War II Memorial, Whitehall, London.
It was unveiled on 9 July 2005 by H.M. Queen Elizabeth II.

"I hope that future generations who pass this way will ask themselves: 'what sort of women were they?' and look at our history for the answer."

Baroness Betty Boothroyd (former Speaker of the House of Commons).
    9 July 2005.

Situated just off Alcester Road, Wythall, this memorial has names from both world wars and one name from the Falklands War.

St Bridget's, Moresby (Church of England), Cumbria.
Parton & Moresby (Moresby parish) war memorial, Parton, Cumbria.

The first photograph shows the names of parishioners of St Bridget's, Moresby serving with the Armed Forces in 1939 / 1940. The eclesiastical parish of Moresby includes the townships of Moresby and Parton.

The second photograph shows Moresby Parish Church (St Bridget's). The parish church displays its WW1 and WW2 memorials inside the church.

The third photograph shows three of the memorials found inside Moresby Church: the WW1 memorial tablet, WW2 'Book of Remembrance' and part of the 1939 / 1940 memorial seen in the first photograph.
    ----------------------

The remaining five photographs show the Parton and Moresby civic war memorial, located in Parton village. This memorial lists the names of 45 WW1 casualties and 6 WW2 casualties linked to Parton and Moresby.

Unfortunately, as with many war memorials it is known that for some reason there are casualties whose name has not been listed on the memorial. I know of at least two WW2 casualties who have been missed off the civic war memorial. However, they are commemorated in the WW2 'Book of Remembrance' at the parish church.

I found this memorial outside of the British Legion, Kings Heath, Birmingham. Inside was a picture, citation and medals of Bill Savage VC from the raid on St Nazaire. I presume the VC is a copy.
