Can you photograph your local war memorial? (UK)

Was in Boston this morning, thought I'd visit the War Memorial...was moving to see so many various remembrance stones.....

 

The wreaths have been removed now exposing the names.

Ault Hucknall, Derbyshire

 

Bit of a strange one dedicated to football players of Sunderland AFC who died in WW1 and WW2 but also dedicated to every football fan who has passed away . Wreath laying took place on the 9th November 2025 on the day SAFC played Arsenal . Inside the ground both sets of fans provided their own `living` memorial .

Sadly no Poppies here that day, October 04-10-2014. This is the Fratton Park Football Ground, Portsmouth.

 

Seaham ,Co Durham I know there were photos posted back in 2015 but I was there today and took a few images of the War Memorials together with a RNLI memorial which today commemorated to the day the courageous efforts to rescue a stricken crew and the subsequent loss of life . November 17th 1962

There`s some `new` service memorials been erected recently together with a Memorial `Howitzer` not far from `Ray Lonsdale`s ` TOMMY which itself is situated next to the more traditional memorial . Pit memorials are quite common and with the `Bevan Boys` in mind I`ve added them too .
