245. LUFTWAFFE NIGHT FIGHTER CLAIMS: COMBAT CLAIMS BY LUFTWAFFE NIGHT FIGHTER PILOTS 1939-1945 John Foreman, S Definitive list of claims submitted by Luftwaffe night fighter pilots for Allied aircraft shot down in WW II, daily log with photographs of the pilots. Although the sacrifices of Bomber Command have now been fully detailed, scant information has been available form German sources that might identify the Luftwaffe night fighter pilots who inflicted such a heavy toll on the raiders. Many former wartime aircrew, their relatives and enthusiasts, will find this book most useful in answering many pressing questions. This information has never before been available from a single source. After many years of research, Foreman provides the definitive list of nearly 7,000 claims submitted by Luftwaffe night fighter pilots for Allied aircraft shot down in WWII.
From HyperWar: Handbook on Japanese Military Forces [Chapter 9] Fig. 248: d. Medium tank model 97 (1937). Probably produced in 1937-1940. Some of the design features of this tank (fig. 248) are directly due to lessons learned from tankette and light tank construction. The four central bogie wheels are paired and mounted on bell cranks resisted by armored compression springs. Each end bogie wheel is independently bell crank mounted to the hull in a similar manner. There are three return rollers, the center one carrying the inside half of the track only. Backing plates are used to reinforce hull joints and corners. Numbers of these tanks are known to have been used in Burma. Other specimens were encountered on Guadalcanal.
