A long service and good conduct medal , I have no idea what date . ? Artillery ? It is named on its edge to "21579 Gunner A Millan R A." Can anyone tell me anything about it date , era , how many years service , awarded to what ranks ? Value approx. Thank you in advance. Js
He's not listed on CWGC. Looking at his service No. I'd guess WW1 but never seen that medal before. For what its worth the ribbon holder looks the same as this one on the right: Campaign Medal Groups and Pairs - British and Canadian Military Medals - Osborne Medals and Military Antiques
Hi guys, This is a Victorian Era LSGC. No CWGC because it only started at the First World War. If you check the Medal Rolls for the major wars and conflicts from the late 1800's he might show up. Donnie
Found it: Military History Gifts, Collectibles, Office Items, Lappel Pins, Buttons, (Napoleonic Wars) Second from bottom mate.
Oi! Trouble maker, I was busy cutting and pasting blah bla blah Us oldies ain't as quick as you young whiper snappers you know
Any ideas as to the approx. value ? Thanks gents foir your help on this one - not a subject I would know anything about.
Any ideas as to the approx. value ? It's of the pattern issued between 1874 and 1901 but, judging by his regimental number, it's a later rather than earlier version . Approx. value will be circa £150 to £180. Dave.
Thanks gents - it belongs to the son of a colleague , it came his way along with a few others for next to nothing.
