Welcome to the forum Jimmy and good luck with your quest.

Try this one too as it has a listing for Cameronian Rifles on September 7th 1944.

It is not in English however you can track the names.

Let us know how you make out!

A disadvantage is that, rather than amalgamate with another regiment, the Camaronians disbanded in 1968.

However, one place to start is probably the musum:

The Cameronians Regimental Museum and Museum of South Lanarkshire,
    129 Muir Street,
    Hamilton, ML3 6BJ.

    Telephone :- 01698 283981

    terry.mackenzie@southlanarkshire.gov.uk

    www.southlanarkshire.gov.uk

Strongly suggest you don't contact them asking; "did anyone know my grandfather".

They try and cover a wide range and so the info is somewhat lacking.
