What WW2 Memorials are there in Calais?
Next time we're waiting for the train/ferry will try and look them up.
I know I should know where they are but I'm afraid I don't.
I know there was a 1940 one down on the Docks but are there any to the Canadians when they liberated Calais in 1944?

    Hi Owen D

I know there is an Canadian Cemetery in Calais, but you could try having a look at the Battlefield Europe book "Calais - Fight to the finish" by Jon Cooksey or "The Somme Battlefields" by Martin & Mary Middlebrook.

    I hope this helps.

Thanks for that. I've been on eBay and Play.com almost bought the Battleground Europe book on Calais you mentioned and one by Airey Neave too.
BUT I'm already waiting for two others in the post as well as moving soon (??) so I'll wait until we've actually booked a holiday before buying anymore.
I must control my spending on war books.
