A services cover which was up and open circa early Nov 1969 and I was on my way via back alleys to buy fireworks. I fell down it only saved by my elbows. Still there after all these years.

A home (house?) built into the rock, by the B5032, going in to Mayfield, Staffordshire. The garden is above it. My guess is that when the road was widened, the homes were built/made. Next to it was what looked like it might have been where another home had been, but only the fireplace and some brickwork remains.
The Bata factory town, at East Tilbury, Essex. Bata made shoes, the factory and town being created in the 1930s. The town that Bata built: a modernist marvel on the marshes of Essex The statue is of Tomáš Baťa, the Czech founder of the town. The other monument is the war memorial for Bata workers.
