Situated between the town of Kuala Belait and the South China Sea, these 3 cemeteries - Christian, Indian and Gurkha - adjoin each other in this one location (see attached map). The Christian cemetery contains, what appears to be, the only British Forces' grave in Brunei. It includes the remains of 4 RAF Aircrew (CARPENTER, HARKER, WALLACE, POINTER) who, whilst serving with 81 Squadron, died as a result of a mid-air collision between their Mosquito aircraft - PF624 and RG254 - on January 13th 1950. Images of the grave-site, grave stone, wreath and accompanying In Memorium/Order Of Service card will be forwarded to www.81squadron.com in due course. Accolades-a-plenty to the individual/s responsible for laying the wreath...Thank You! My visit enabled me to deal with 2 individual requests for images and I was also able to photograph an additional 7 Caucasian graves whilst there. note: 3 images attached Video covering cemetery here: All above images (and originals) are now available - FREE - to family members, relatives, researchers and historians. When asked, I normally suggest that you make a donation to a Forces Charity of your own choice. Equally, all images - posted/distributed by me - are not to be used for commercial and/or financial gain. If in doubt, contact me - Thank You. This offer/all these offers is/are open-ended i.e. a cut-off date does not apply! I currently tend this grave and I am pleased to say we held a small ceremony in November to remember the four RAF personnel. The service was attended by a handful of RAF personnel currently serving in Brunei.
