Brothers In Arms is the newest WW 2 Pc game to hit the markets in the next week or two. Based on previews it will surpass all other games in same genre re: authenticity, realism and true squad tactics. The missions takes place with the landing of the 101st, The Screaming Eagles, specifically a squad or two in the 502nd Regiment in Normandy and their efforts to take Carentan. This game based on what I've read appears to be something special. I will be picking this title up in the near future if any others are interested in going on line let me know. All Seeing Eye provides a huge liabrary of server sites where I have played Call of Duty. Anyway let me know.

From what I have seen it looks a good game; keep us informed re on-line gaming.

I've played 'BiA' for about 2 weeks now. The graphix are good, not awesome, but good. The muzzle swing of guns is pretty severe at times, fairly hard to target the enemy. Maybe it's due to slow frame rate..I play on a 2.8 Gig with 512Mb of ram, with settings at medium and still it's choppy. It's a very interesting game, but overall enjoyment of game i would rate a 7 out of 10...but that's my humble opinion. If ur looking for a really good game, let me suggest 'Hidden&Dangerous 2'. It's got stellar graphix, great sound, easy to shoot and manuever and just a very addictive and fun game with an awesome story line. Many, many ways to complete missions with several choices of members of your squad, and lots of choices of equipment and weapons.

Another mate at work who has following...

    3.4 Ghz P4
    1 GB ram
    256 MB PCI Express

Says it's an awesome game, but the CPU and Graphics fans are running so much that he had to turn the volume up.

Sounds like a very "Resource Hungry" game.

Can you play it on a LAN? As I reported elsewhere on the forum I have managed to run a multi-player game of 'Call of Duty'at school with some success. The graphics are amazing but the gameplay was rather too 'Sergeant Fury and His Howling Commandos' for my pedantic tastes. Supposedly BIA is more historically accurate.

Mark - there is a CoD 'Total War' MOD under development at the moment, which you can play on the SNAFU clans server (I don't have an ISP for them, as I play through Gamespy). This is much more realistic, and avoids the shoot-em up mentality you can sometimes get with this game. I presume it will be available as a download sometime soon?

    Hey all

I have completed the Single Player Campaign of Brothers In Arms and have to say the best gaming experience to date. The graphics are nice, gameplay and immersion are spot on. This game requires you to think, ie: how to strategically take out a mg42 nest with the use of your squad mates. All the missions,(levels), are based on the actual events while the names of the in-game soldiers are fictitious but based on real soldiers, with the exception of Lt. Col Cole who was the real deal. The Multi Player portion of the game has been fun but still needs some more work, ie: future patches. IMHO this game is much better than Call of Duty, I guess i don't enjoy Run and Gun games as much which you can't do in BIA or you will be dead quickly. I would highly recommend BIA. As a side note I believe Medal of Honor Pacific Assault is a good game mostly for SP not MP and some of the missions ie: Guadalcanal and Tarawa were very enjoyable especially defending Bloody Ridge and River Recon patrols. Hope this helps, here is gaming web page with various reviews re: BIA

On a technical note, how much computer power does BIA require compared to COD? The graphics don't look quite as sophisticated as COD. I was astonished to be honest when my technical whizzkids (ie the Sixth Form) got COD running on our school network with I think at the maximum 15 terminals engaged simultaneously.
