I agree Lee, definately one of the best. Have you seen Medal of honour: Airborne? Now that game gets your heart racing. Only played it twice on my mates PC. Can't wait yo get a PS3. That'll be on the top of my to buy list. Just under Grand theft auto IV.

 

i dont play myself,but boss my lad about instead.if its on the 360 i will,but not on his ps3.i reckon the graphics are best on the 360.lee.

 

The game has been confirmed to release in August.

i think i shall continue bossing my lad jammer james,on cod4.yesterday we upped the anti a bit,we now play on regular difficulty,i think,instead of easy.those javelin a-t missiles are great.big time.yours,lee..p.s james has airboune over his mums i think,so i have not seen it yet.

 

Just had a email 7 the game is now coming out on the 11/09/08

 

I dont know who that email was from, but ive been checking on the official forums for the developers of the game and they havent said anything about delaying it past August.

 

Really dont understand what the problem is here. Gears of war has all the destructable cover and Advanced warfighter has all the AI and squad mechanics. By the time this come out it will be old hat.

Well after i dont know how long waiting its here. 2 days to go.......

I dont want to do any spoilers ,so without anything specific.

Its very like the other games, The outdoor stuff (90%) is fantasically done, the destructable cover works better than any other game ive played, The cut scenes are long and a bit silly and predicatable, The British/Irish voice acting is a bit wobbly in paces.

It plays lovely on the 360, no jumps, quicks loads, Frame rate no problem. Rendering, lighting is great. Great use of 1st to 3rd person views is seemless and works well, great shadows, inc all the the guns.

Guns are nice models and accurate, nice sound on the guns. Esp the MG42's which are spot on and very powerfull (though I doubt you could use one as a SMG). Dont stand behind a wooden fence if the baddies have an MG42! Its doesnt do the waving sights on the rifles, its pretty steady like COD which is shit. Injuries are done great, sometimes solders are blown to bits, head shots, the eBazooka, tends to make a mess, other times they lie or sit about wounded.

Some of the tactical moves are a bit obvious, there is loads of cover on every map, some are huge and give a real impression of distance for long shots with the BAR or Garand, The Mauser is dead accurate and one shot lethal. Enemy AI is a bit improved (but not much), but they lack agression and will let you flank them without to much hassle, mostly they will retreat, which makes them easy targets for you base of fire squad.

Its fantastic really, I love it except for one level which is utter shit and very medal of honour ish, Which was so annoying I hit the off button. The rest is great.

Buy a 360, there cheap and do shooters great,

No Ive changed my mind the modeling of the guns is superb, Let rip with with about 3 belts full on the MG42 and the thing was smoking, see a heat haze round the barrel. Really good.
