    Doing some research on former pupils of my old school Prince of Wales School Nairobi Kenya
    and have come across the following who though I don't think was an ex pupil but has still roused my interest

    Name: MILLAR Initials: A W D Nationality: United Kingdom Rank: Second Lieutenant Regiment/Service: Kenya Regiment Date of Death: 18/08/1942 Service No: KOF/53718 Casualty Type: Commonwealth War Dead Grave/Memorial Reference: Panel 26. Column 1. Memorial BROOKWOOD MEMORIAL

    Can anyone provide more info



    Further to the above post, have now found Miller AWD listed by CWGC as a Captain - General List 49892 buried in Sokoto Cemetery Nigeria dod same as above 18/08/42

    Son of Brigadier-General Alfred Douglas Miller, C.B.E., D.S.O., and Ella Miller, husband of Eleanor Mary Miller, of Olkalou, Kenya.

    I don't have a clue as to which unit he served in. I thought of looking at the war diary references at Kew to see which country both Regiments were serving, but they finish in 1946 when most were disbanded.

    I've e-mailed CWGC again, so as to save you duplicating the effort. Will update this thread and yourself when I hear back.
