Dad is deceased, and I am beginning my search on dad's history as a UK Army soldier and a POW. All I know is Dad was caught in Tunisia. He stated he moved around a lot....into Egypt, India, as a POW. He also said he was "fighting next to the Italians." I am confused. Does this sound correct to anyone?

I am appreciative of any help.

    Thank You very much,

    Debra

Dad's name was Alfred Ernest New, Birmingham, England. No other information other than what I shared above was talked about in the family. If anyone has any information they can share, I would gladly appreciate their help.

Now you know it was the Gunner not the Grenadier.

To Nick Fenton, did you look up the Grenadier's POW Records?
