british compo rations replicas? how realistic?

    I'm sure someone will tell you the "if they're cardboard, they'll be fake, as they will be much tastier than the real thing" !!! :D

    I don't think it's all that accurate, but some of the items may be difficult to reproduce (the dried meat block for example).

    Not at all sadly.

    That said some of us are 'working on it'. One of my mates has recently reproduced the boxes and we're looking at expanding that out properly.

    I've got some real contemporary water sterilisation tablets if you are willing to test them out!!!! :biggrin:

    Seriously though, if you do carry out this experiment, I would be very interested to hear how it went.

    The typefaces look completely unconvincing - ten minutes on MS Word by the look of it.

    I think it has been americanized!

    Someone on the repro paperwork group produced "vegitable soup"

    Coldstream on ebay does some reasonable offers. Quite edible too.
