This photo from my collection has a officer with i think a Pegasus badge with letters on the bottom and so has the radio the op. Photo post war. Cap badge not para. Keith
One more photo, might be a number on back of jeep above xxxxx . could it be XII VII on the first photo. I wonder if it could be a RA unit as i have a photo of 2 jeeps towing a 25 pdr. Keith
Yes, agreed with Idler. 44th Airborne Division (India). Sadly, I think the badge used to illustrate is a modern dud - this one is the IWM's version. 800 × 800 - iwm.org.uk
Yes, the one I linked was a repro on eBay. It was simply the first one that came up on Google, I'm not out of pocket!
The beret badge could be RA, and it looks as if the letters RA could be on the officers' rank slides..44 Div had a couple of British field regts, 123 and 159, see http://nigelef.tripod.com/regtsumm.htm#pacregt
Here is more info from Paradata that might help. http://www.paradata.org.uk/units/158-parachute-field-regiment-ra
The 25pdr gun is the clue in all the links. I wonder if its 158 in the photos ?. http://www.paradata.org.uk/units/23-parachute-light-anti-aircraftanti-tank-regiment-ra
