Popped down to Salisbury today to visit The Wardrobe. Whilst there, little 'un picked up a leaflet that said Bovington is to close on Monday 29th October until February 2008 due to major redevelopment of the Museum. That's not quite true as I've just checked the website. I see there's a timescale for what's opening when: Tank Museum Building Work Still On Track (from Bournemouth Echo) refurbishment includes the construction of a new building, which is slightly ahead of schedule, and is due to open around late June or early July. Other new developments include a new tank arena to host tank displays from May, and a new guide to the history of the tank to open from December.
