    With the help of family member and friends spread far and wide I have manage to obtain the following books in the last month.With the exception of 2, they all came in at under £10, many of them considerably so.

    Two new shelves going up in the study this weekend, the wife thinks I'm barmy and the study is starting to smell like an old book shop itself.lol

    That's not bad....nothing too outrageously scarce on there IMHO......perhaps the best is the signed With the Red Devils at Arnhem.....

    I tend to agree with Medic but would add the Treusdale book as a nice find.............now Dave when you find a copy of 'Red Berets And Red Crosses' for 50p lets see what Medic says then;):lol:

    That's not bad....nothing too outrageously scarce on there IMHO......perhaps the best is the signed With the Red Devils at Arnhem.....

    I got that one for less than a fiver.lol.I would agree that if you went online you could probably pick the majority up reasonable easily,but charity shops and boot sale Im not so sure. I got these with the help of 13 other people and I would say Ive probable spent just over £100:D

    I tend to agree with Medic but would add the Treusdale book as a nice find.............now Dave when you find a copy of 'Red Berets And Red Crosses' for 50p lets see what Medic says then;):lol:


    I actually got it a month or so back,it broke my heart I had to use paper money:lol:

    Buying is not the problem, you also have to read them.LOL

    Saw that B-Company Arrived did 70 euro, must be scarce then..

    To be totally honest they have been bought for research purposes for various projects in mind. I will read them in a fashion, probably some more than others.My library of Anglo Saxon books and related material,has gone past the 500 mark now. So the Airborne and North Africa stuff has a long way to go yet:D

    Dave, have a copy of MEN OF THE RED BERET, free to you, to help fill your new shelf,you cant get cheaper than that,contact and collect, regards lofty

    Better not make too many promises but if someone buys a copy of RB+RC's for 50 pence I'll sit naked in the window of my local Woolworth's.......

    Also 70 Euros sounds good for a BCA........

    Sounds a safe bet as Woolworths has closed down;) but just in case who wants a copy of RB&RC for 50p:lol:(and yes I am joking!)

    Entirely agree AM, this one is the 'Jewel in the Crown' of Dave's budding collection (the jammy Git!!:lol:).

    I guess the best deal I got was at a book fair Brain Horrocks a Full Life for £1 signed too...But away from Military another book in a chairty shop was Patrick Cornwell's Postmortem also a £1 now that was a good deal worth wait for it £800... Paul want to swap LOL :)

    Tom nice finds on both counts mate;) A signed Horrocks book at a book fair was the dealer having a slow day:huh: and as one who has bought a few Patricia Cornwell books in his time what was this copy made of gold:unsure:

    Picked up a 1st Ed of Victor Dovers Sky Generals for 75p today,good condition as well.
