Hi everyone, I will be in Amsterdam in the Netherlands for a very short stay later this month. I have a few free hours to kill and was wondering if anyone can recommend any bookstores that carry good selections of military history books (specifically WW2, and then more specifically WW2 in the Far East/Dutch East Indies). I am always adding to my library and a trip is as good a time as any to do so. Cheers for any suggestions, W.

Thanks for the suggestion. I didn't make it out to the shop you recommended in the end, as the timing just didn't work out with my flight, but it seemed like a cool idea if I had had time. In the end, I paid visits to a few bookshops in Amsterdam and The Hague which had small military history collections, but nothing overly large. The exception was Antiquariaat Kretzschmar in The Hague, which had a very nice selection of secondhand books, some in Dutch and some in English, covering a very wide time period. Well worth stopping in if you are in the area.
