Hi - I'm currently researching an officer who was awarded the MBE in the 1943 birthday honours, but am struggling to find any details of the award. I've tried the National Archives, but the citations etc there seem to be linked to operational honours - has anyone had any success in finding similar honours issued (I am guessing) for service in the UK. Any help appreciated
