Well I might as well put this request up. I'm used to going down in flames. I was hoping that the flag smilies might be changed from these :ausflag[1]::patriot[1]::ukflag[1]:to the ones below. This is a serious forum and although there is a time for levity, something more patriotic is needed to add to many of the posts and members aren't using the ones available now.
A colleague and friend of mine is setting up a website dedicated to hosting military graphics and ww2 web art for use on message boards. He goes by the name Peppy here and he is the resident art guru. This upcoming website is called Front64.com | Graphics for the WWII Network. This is exactly the kind of this he would use on his website.
It means that we are probably going to leave the smileys here as is, but that another whole website is being built to house graphics for ww2talk, so you will be able to access graphics such as the ones you supplied here.
Just testing something Nope, saved a flag into my signature to see if it waves. it doesn't. EDIT:Where have all the signature pictures gone?
Hey, my Spitfires are gone. In fact the flags I mean go under the avatar. This is possible on this board. It is also possible to have waving flags, not just still OK, I re set it here
We will install the flags, but I've got bigger concerns right now than cosmetic adjustments, and frankly this is even the top of the list of the cosmetics edits that I need to do. I've got an odd looking and broken header image to replace. Have a bit of patience, we are always working on improving things, and will get to the all important flags.
Cheers for installing flag , Otto. I was just testing it on myself to see if I could put one on The Aviator's profile, I don't actually want one myself. Like you say this is quite a bit down the list on things to do. Hold on in there Graeme, you'll get one eventually , I'm sure. Getting this place to function properly is the Number One Priority at the moment.
Hohoho, Aviator, the smilies, etc list in the brother forum ww2f.com is a sight to behold. The smilies here are not to be looked askance either. In any case I'm particulary happy with one made by request in ww2f to honour some not-so-neutral contry Word of advice: give them time, just trust in Otto & Co. and with time all the Tetris bricks will fall into their proper places. Cheers! Za
I say old chap, damn good of you to pass on that information. I'm calm. I can wait sleep well at night knowing that dedicated men are working behind the scenes on my behalf. Readying my aircraft for another bash at the jolly old Hun tomorrow. Slap another black cross on the side of your cockpit old bean.
