    Hi all,

I’ve recently researched my Grandads route through Europe during the Second World War. What is the best mapping app/tool/procedure people have used to plot and show routes throughout Europe? Ideally showing many stops as they went from town to town?

    Thanks for any advice

In my my opinion nothing wrong with Google, you can create maps, add text and photos, have different 'layers' for different countries, campaigns etc and export the file to open up in Google Earth.

Maps can be private or you can share them via a link.

Create yourself an account, and use Google 'Drive' (cloud storage) to store everything.

    And it's free.

Bing Maps is useful for anyone interested in plotting naval movements, e.g. Convoy Charts.
