I'm planning another trip in the week or so to the National Archives so feel free to add to the following list:

WO 167/479 - 27 Field Regiment Royal Artillery

WO 167/806 - 4 Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry

I know I have thanked many of you individually for your more than generous donations (Some donations exceeding three figues!) to the charities listed above but felt a public thank you was more than called for. I'm sure your genoristy will make more than a difference.

Many thanks again and as ever it is 'always a pleasure and never a chore'.

    Regards
    Andy

Hi Peter and welcome to the foum,

I've already got 16 files to copy on tomorrows list, but will add your's on the chance I have time. If not it will be at the top of the list for the next visit.

In the mean time perhaps you would like to start a thread in the 1940 section about your fathers 1940 service with any pictures etc you may have. A few of us maybe able to help why you wait.

    Regards
    Andy

    Hi Peter,

You posted that request around 12hrs too late. Shame no one texted me today while I was at Kew

If you're happy to make a donation to one of the military charities I'll add it to the next list (Yours being the first).

    Andy,

    FYI re 4 OBLI diary:

'Re. charity donation - I am going to send some money to the Royal British Legion if that's ok with you. I am sure I've said it before, but I'd be really grateful if you'd extend my thanks to any of your other friends who've helped us so far too.'

    Cheers

    Pete
