This isn't a book or a movie, but I don't know where else to post it.

With the December edition of BBC History magazine, they are giving away a CD entiled "The BBC at War 1939-1945: Extracts from the BBC's Wartime Archive".

Theythen kind of contract themselves by starting with Chamberlain's "..a quarrel in a far-away country" broadcast of 27 September 1938.

I think they issued that on audio cassette in 1985, because I have just that very two-tape cassette. It's great listening. It includes Ed Murrow.

This is an excellent archive Angie, it used to be available on a double CD and I used it regularly whilst guiding groups around London on Blitz Walks, I hope the Home Front Archives are included as I lent my original out and as ever it has been lost.

Lots of comments by Ed Murrow and the Arnhem reports were superb.
Buy it everyone, when I enquired at the IWM last week they had no plans to re release the original CD

Nothing about Arnhem, not much Ed Murrow, so it looks like they edited it down somewhat for this give-away.
