Stick with the original version. This one will have unlimited ammo and you reheal yourself automatically. Then you have only the 3 maps and 24 players online. Will be nothing compared to the original. Only advantage is destructible environment which could be interesting and for me is the only selling point. I will only get it if it is cheap enough though (or free)...

*Shameless Plug* The original game can be much improved by modifications. I would recommend the one that I work for as we are still updating it with new content and so continue to improve the game. Our website is here: Battlegroup42 *end shameless plug*

    Another option is Forgotten Hope.

I will buy this solely on the fact that it is a WW2 game, gotta show the developers theirs still money in the WW2 genre!

I used to love playing the Battlefield games back in the day, was such a hassle using the gamespy servers. It was cool having snipping battles from across a castle type structure (as you can see it's been a few years) until someone spawns right next to you.

The last time EA made a game in set in the Pacific Theater it was mostly mediocre, I hope this one delivers especially after Call of Duty: World at War set the bar.

I'm not sure what to think of this really. First off, it's still great the producers are making an effort to continue being creative in the ww2 genre.

But comparing to Battlefield 1942, B1943 seems rather dull. 3 classes, 3 maps and the ability to automatic heal yourself is not a big plus in my book.
However the graphics looks pretty good and is set in the pacific which should be interesting, since there isn't a lot of good games covering the pacific theater imo.

I would have prefered an update of 1942, with better graphics and the old gameplay. What a game that would be!

To be honest the run and gun games really dont do it for me... play one you have played them all.

I quite liked the original Ghost Recon and Operation Flashpoint games.... in these games if you try and run and gun you die but if you work together properly as a squad you have success. Nothing better than getting a few beers in and playing through a few missions with 3 or 4 of your mates online.
