On this day 80 years ago a huge battle took place over the sky's Britian between the RAF and the Luftwaffe of Nazi Germany. It was a turning point in ww2 and became famously know as ' The Battle of Britain.' lest we forget Graham.
I've just watched the John Hemingway clip on BBC. Very glad there's one of the few left to represent all the others.
The BBC have a programme on it tonight - odd thing the I player entry has the presenters standing by a Sopwith Triplane
Talking of iPlayer, I've just noticed the recent Spitfire documentary is on there as well. That's my evenings entertainment sorted.
This is not, alas, a great movie, though it does have a great cast, great aircraft and a great subject. I think I like the ending best.
