    Sgt O.K.Sly of No 29 Squadron was shot down and killed along with Sgt R.E.Stevens and AC2 A.Jackson in Blenheim If (L6637) by Hurricane's off Point Ayr, The Wirral at 18:00hr on the 13th of October 1940.

    Sgt R.E.Stevens of No 29 Squadron was shot down on the 13th of October 1940 and killed in error by Hurricanes off Point Ayr, Wirral at 18:00hrs in a Blenheim If (L6637). His crew ( Sgt O.K.Sly and AC2 A.Jackson ) also died.

On the 20th of October 1940 he was on a recce sortie off the Norwegian coast flying in Blenheim IVf (L9453) when he was shot down and killed. The other members of the crew were S.R.Gane & M.D.Green .

    P/O E.C.J.Wakeham from No 145 Squadron destroyed two aircraft over Dunkirk and was awarded the D.F.C. on the 21st of June 1940. Wakeham added five more victories before the 8th of August 1940, he was posted M.I.A, when he failed to return from a combat in his Hurricane I (P3163) with Bf 110's and Ju 87's South of the Isle of Wight. He was aged, 19.

    F/Lt S.C.Walch an Australian of No 238 Squadron was shot down East of Weymouth in his Hurricane I (R4097) and killed on the 11th of August 1940, at 10:50hrs.

    Sgt R.D.H.Watts of No 235 Squadron was flying escort to Fairey Albacores on the 11th of September 1940. The Fairey Albacores from the Fleet Air Arm were on a raid on Calais at 17:30hrs and the Blenheim IV-f (L9396) flown by P/O Wickings-Smith was shot down. P.C.Wickings-Smith and the crew all died on the mission ( A.W.V.Green).

    F/Lt P.S.'Squeak' Weaver from No 56 Squadron shot down nine enemy aircraft between the 20th July and the 28th of August. On the 31st of August he was shot down in his Hurricane I (V7378) by a Bf 109 at 08:45hrs. He crashed into a river and was not seen again. He had been recommended for a D.F.C. prior to his death and it was awarded on 1st of October 1940.

    S/L Cedric W.Williams was leader No 17 Squadron of Hurricane's during the Battle of Britain. On the 18th of August 1940 his Hurricane I (V7404) was damaged in combat with Bf 109's off Dover at 13:50hrs. He was shot down and killed on the 25th of August 1940 in a head on attack in his Hurricane I (R4199) on a Bf 110 off Portland at 17:45hrs.
