I relasie that the a/m programme probably does not register too much on a lot of people's radar on this forum, but caught the last 15 minutes or so and one of the items seen was a WW2 Fallschirmjager's wrist compass...never seen one in the flesh before and so perhaps of interest to others on here.....bought for £40 and sold at auction for £80 or so......
Just looked at it on the BBC site: 'Germany bought these compasses for their Airborne troops. This type of compass was the first fluid wrist compass made by o/y Physics a/b Helsinki or Suunto Helsinki'. (extract) - in degrees!
