Just watched it for the umpteenth time and only just noticed in the 'Replacements' episode (4) the "real" E company veteran 'Babe' Heffron can be seen waving a flag in Eindhoven when everybody's celebrating in the street. He's on the left of the screen when SGT Talbert is sat snogging the Dutch girl in the pink dress, just before she gets dragged away to have her head shaved for being a collaborator. Have a look for yourselves if you don't believe me :p Another interesting fact is that Tom Hanks appears in the next episode 'Crossroads' briefly as a British Para. He's stood amongst a group of them as they toast the 101st airborne.
