badges

    Can anyone identify the badges on my grandads cap and collars as I don't have a clue as to what he served in ie cadets, home guard, or a

    regiment

    I'm far from a cap badge expert Steve but might it be the Wiltshire Regiment? See attached ...

    And I'm guessing the shoulder badge is one of the Territorial battalions.

    looking closely at the original photos you may both be right

    I agree with Idler - looks like a T above the rest of the lettering on the shoulder badge. Unfortunately I don't have any books that will cover it but I'm sure someone might on here ...

    I will third the T on the shoulder badge. Do any of these suggestions make sense everose? :)

    The only pre-war battalion of the Wilts would be their 4th Bn.
