Robert L. Scott, 19448272, Private, Headquarters Company, 56th Armored Infantry Battalion, 12th Armored Division, United States Army, for gallantry in action on 9th January 1945 in the vicinity of La Breymuhl, France.

When the house he was in was attacked by an enemy tank, Private Scott went into the open courtyard alone to engage the tank with his Rocket Launcher. His weapon failing to fire on the first attempt, Private Scott secured a second Rocket Launcher and disabled the tank. When another enemy tank attempted to drag the disabled vehicle away, private Scott again went into the courtyard with his weapon but was wounded before he could fire on the tanks. private Scott's courage and persistence reflect the highest traditions of the Army of the United States. Entered military service from Great Falls, Montana.
