Award Military Medal Pfc Glenn E. Slusser, C Company, 334th Infantry Regiment, 84th Infantry Division, VII Corp (33884310)

On 7th January 1945, near Marcouray, Belgium, Private First Class SLUSSER, automatic rifleman, distinguished himself in action against the enemy. In an advance against hostile installations, Private First Class SLUSSER's company was halted by fire from an enemy machine gun. Under the covering fire of his comrades, Private First Class SLUSSER advanced to within fifteen yards of the enemy emplacement and delivered automatic rifle fire with such telling effect that two members of the crew were killed and the the remaining three surrendered. This prompt and skilful demonstration of courage by Private First Class SLUSSER materially aided the advance of his company.
