This Correspondent has been associated with every battle from El Alamein to Tunis, was with the landing parties of American Forces in the invasion of Sicily, accompanied them throughout that campaign and subsequently covered the activities of both the Fifth and Eight Armies in Italy up to the middle of January 1944. Mr. Moorehead has rendered signal service and has always been held in the highest estimation by the armies to which he was attached. In his position as War Correspondent he has consistently given to the British public worthy tributes of the magnificent fighting qualities of the Allied troops. In the landings in Italy he was in the forefront of the attack and has at all times shown a complete disregard of danger in his desire to pay adequate testimony to the valour of our troops
