South of Fuka on 9 June seems highly unlikely. Suspect 29 June.

    All the best

The 74th Field Regiment, RA, were Divisional troops of the 50th (Northumbrian) Division. The 50 Div had been fighting in Sicily, as an assault Division and all the way through, until returning to the UK in preparation for D-Day, where once again they were an assault Division (on Gold Beach) and fought through the Normandy campaign.

Hence, how Lt. Gregson was an escaped PoW in Italy in September 1943 and was later wounded in Normandy in June 1944.
