My Uncle was wounded while serving in the Pacific in the Navy. When I went through my father's papers I found this Telegram or text story of his treatment and recovery in an Australian Hospital.

I mentioned it to him before he died and he denied it was him. My mother told me he had a girl friend there and was still married to my Aunt back here in the States. My Aunt made it clear what he had to do and he did it. But my Mother said we never bring up his time in the Australian Hospital.

Their photos are when they are very young, but our local paper published a story of my father and uncle being at Pearl Harbor. Their sister my Aunt Ann joined as soon as she graduated and became a Surgical Nurse in the Army before the war ended.
